NAS position requirements

Responsibilities
* Diagnose and resolve problems in multiple storage environments, coordinating with coworkers and vendors as necessary to facilitate maximum availability of client applications and data.
* Create and maintain documentation
* Assist customers and SA with storage requirements and questions
* Perform storage workload modeling and prediction for sizing and troubleshooting
* Perform capacity planning and reporting to ensure efficient use of storage
* Closely monitor storage performance and utilization, identify problems and recommend/implement solutions
* Implement and document recovery procedures (DR)
* Daily activities (allocation, reporting, exports, troubleshooting, tickets)
* Project work will require periodic evening and weekend commitments

Knowledge Base
* Must have a thorough understanding of Network Appliance (NetApp) products and architectures
* In-depth knowledge of general storage technologies: iSCSI, SAN, NAS
* Solid understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, including principles of network-routing client/server applications
* Solid understanding of NFS and CIFS administration in a NetApp Environment
* Knowledge of Distributed File Systems (DFS) beneficial
* Strong background in either Intel or Unix administration
* Scripting skills a plus

Experience
* Prior experience deploying NetApp solutions
* Intel or Unix administration
* Previous experience with Enterprise solutions/data/hardware/applications
